Sweet Carcast. Dax rocked! I look forward to him coming back.

  10. SVO? Are you nuts?! Leno may be right: the car with the wackadoodle element becomes the collectible one. The SVO–beloved by those who own them–is a half-assed experimental abortion.

However, FOX platform Stangs are indeed the low-buck, bolt-on, balls-out muscle. One that you can build out in any garage to make it a monster with all the after market stuff (pre-dating the “tuner” explosion).

I had a sweet little 5.0 convertible special edition myself (I’d counter that this is the true collectible). White top, white leather interior, and emerald green exterior. I loved that fucking car.

Let’s not forget the FOX platform Mercury Capri too. Even cheaper. Not all that attractive, but a sort of, blocky ruggedness. My brothers picked one of these up very cheap and proceeded to make it a real shit storm, real cheap. Nice sleeper. I recall getting a ticket in the brute when I borrowed it for a day. Plenty of power. Rear wheel drive, Reasonably light. Lots of cheap parts. These stangs are still strong runners at every track.

No one cares about what cars you and your brother had.

      • Okay. But I would still pick a 1985 Saleen Stang over the SVO, if we’re talking collectible, if you can find one. And any FOX platform muscle over a front-drive tuner on a bottle. The Saleens have the race cred and heritage which will help them increase in value IMHO.

Dax was great btw. Definitely have him back. I’ll spare Mr. “B-Real” tales of my dirtbike boners, but, suffice to say, I know where Dax and Ace are coming from with their obsession.

Let us know how Pebble Beach was Ace, because we know you HAD to go. I think my invitation got lost in the mail, otherwise I’d have been there. Hope you drove your 330 GT 2+2 ashtray shuttle. Oxblood and black works well.

        Speaking of Aston scoops…

  14. Cris says:

    Hey Adam,
The carcast is great, why the hell don’t you have a job again? well you’re a rapist.. I mean racist, but nobody seems to mind (nobody important anyway).

WHERE ARE PICTURES OF DAX’S LINCOLN?

c’mon, there aren’t any online elsewhere, what is it his child, get some photos up on the site!

    thanks for all the fun!

And keep on gettin’ it on!

  15. Allen says:

Dax should have brought the ’81 Honda POS from “employee of the month”. That would have been the bomb!
