Jim Wangers

Adam and Jim Wangers talk old school GTO and move into the future with the Jim Wangers Signature Edition Judge GTO. We fire up the 680hp Injected Pontiac and listen to the music. Adam and Sandy pickup some phone calls and find out that sometimes we get the shaft when it comes to cool cars, bubbly tires and dealer trouble all add up to some good conversations. Then onto celebrity cars with Comedian Richard Belzer.

CAR CAST please listen and learn listening to these old timers wax on about shit that happened last century is boring the cars maybe alright but just listening to these casts is beyond booooring not being completely critical even ace was trying to mix it up crack wise but even he sounds bored
Adam try and get a car or two from this century in the damn cast just go to any dealership talk about a car thats modern with maybe somebody who was born this century just keep it funny please

Couldn’t disagree with advice101 more. He needs to “listen and learn” before all the anecdotes and wisdom “these old timers” have is gone.

      Dearest Advice101,

First of all, learn what the fuck a century is. Second, go look at the history of Carcast. Most of the guests have been there talking about recent cars. Steve Millen, Steve Saleen, Dan Edmunds, Gale Banks, etc. Perhaps old cars aren’t your thing. That’s fine. Realize a large number of people like them though, look at the description and if it isn’t something you’re interested in don’t listen to that particular episode and come back next week. What you don’t need to do, however, is come on here proclaiming your disapproval just because a few episodes of the podcast aren’t tailored to your discriminating tastes.

      Thank You.

RE Advice 101, what Jim Wangers has to say about cars is as relevant today as it was 40 years ago. All you have to do is take a look at the new generation of performance cars, they are deeply rooted in the muscle car era.

      Hey Advice101,
Please learn the use of punctuation and how to spell. Retard.

  2. Matt says:

That Wanger Edition GTO is one of the sexiest things I have ever seen.

  3. Geoff says:

Some people, i.e. me, like the old times. That guy talking about the GT40 brakes looking like molten taffy at the end of the Mulsanne Straight was completely awesome. I also don’t want to hear from anyone born this century, since I don’t want any 10 year olds on my Car Cast. Advice101 does not speak for the entire class. Thank you.

Not funny??!!!?? I laughed my ass off when Adam talked about the bulldykes & the Subaru’s!! Also, at 41, I love hearing details about the old muscle cars. To each his own I guess….

Great job Adam & Donny, keep it coming!!

    Adam,
I disagree with advice101. I’m in my early 30’s and really enjoy the discussions of the detroit muscle car era of yesteryear. My dad had a 1969 427 hemi cuda when he was in california in the early 1970’s. Really enjoyed listening to the stories he’d tell us about that car and those times.

Any chance you can interview someone familiar with the history of the Cuda?

    Thanks for the CarCast.
    Scott

  8. KS says:

I love all the old timers with their stories of all the old cars and how they came about. Keep it up Adam I love the Car Cast.

  9. MrRedDevil says:

I don’t know shit about cars, but Jim Wangers is an entertaining guy to listen to.

    Thanks Aceman & crew!

I like it CC for the most part. But AC’s bigotry-schtick is getting OLD.

  11. Luke says:

Fuck your advice! I love the old and new. Good job on covering everything guys! Don’t listen to one doucher that drives a fricking KIA. I was going to see if your ever going to talk about the Hummer H2 and the hippies that hate them. Thanks again!!

    Luke

  12. nater says:

I love hearing the history. There is almost nothing more exciting (to me) than hearing how a very determined SOB got around the status quo to cement their ideas into our lexicon. Vic Edelbrock and his dad using nitro-methane…scary and exciting! Love the show guys.

what’s with these guys and the hairpiece. they think nobody knows it’s a hairpiece. interesting guy but i could spot that piece from outer space.

  14. Mahar says:

We have a favorite family picture of my dad and my uncle swinging axes at my uncle’s new ’68 LeMans, mimicking the GTO ad above. Glad to finally see the ad again and hear the story behind it.
I inherited the car in 1978 and replaced the melted 350 with a 400 GTO engine, that suddenly became available from the junk yard. It definitely did not handle like the pro-touring Judge; what with the balding, re-tread snow tires and creaking suspension.

  15. Mongo says:

advice101 sounds like a college aged douche who grew up with parents that owned non-awe inspiring Japanese built commuter cars, who is completely ignorant of American automotive history. Guys like Jim aren’t going to be with us forever, and he has less days ahead than he has behind, so let him speak now while he can. Those building cars sold in dealerships today will have their time…now is not it.
