Brian Finch & Bill Howell of RU Faster Than A Redneck?

Brian Finch & Bill Howell are the hosts of RU Faster Than A Redneck, a new show on SPEED. It pits a team of ‘redneck’ street car racers known as the Mullet Mafia against all-comers in import cars–European sports cars, tuners, exotics etc. Brian brings us his pro touring ’71 Camaro.

I love the moonshine exchange at the end! So get this, it is customary (with the clear moonshine) to put rock candy in the jar in order to make it a bit easier on the palate.

  2. adam says:

That engine compartment looks so nice that I’d love to see the undercarriage.

Does the parking lot have room for ramps, like many dealership lots have, to allow a peek underneath?

I need to see automotive upskirt pictures of these trailer queens!

    • Jim says:

Adam, “trailer queen” gives the connotation that these cars a babied, could not be further from the truth. Run hard and put up wet would be closer.

      just my 2 cents.

      Jim

  3. Chris J says:

Adam was describing HIS cars as riding on trailers, not his guests’. Adam’s race cars aren’t street-legal.

  4. Eric says:

Gotta love an LS naturally aspirated 680hp on pump gas

  5. capitalG says:

18 miles per gallon…that’s someone impressive for an engine that size is it not?

    • Craig says:

I would suspect that 18 mpg for a 600 hp engine would be impossible. An ordinary small block Chevrollet or Ford gets 15 mpg, if it’s not modified for power.

      • i3oosted says:

It’s not impossible when all the accessories, emmisions, amenities are ripped out and the vehicle lightened. Along with a 6 speed double overdrive tranny.

The reason ordinary trucks get that mileage is due to emmisions, noise restrictions, driveability, comfort, mandatory safety devices adding tons of weight and parasitic drag.

Love this show(RUFTAR), quickly becoming my favorite. The entertainment factor alone wins.

  6. tnt&d says:

Actually its the % of Volumetric efficiency And gearing the mind set of the imports they think just because its running efficient, lighter & gears they’ll win. What the tunners didn’t figure on is Displacement there is no replacement that’s the way of the USA bigger is better

  7. jason d says:

Iv got a Nissan that I’d like to run on the show, how do I get My car on,iv got a lil some thing for the bigger is better thought..We already know a Gtr can own a redneck I’d like to show My lil z can run as well…
